This project was initiated to promote the relevant websites and its corporate customer base. This printed material
was required for marketing and promotional purposes. |

Design
Once the project was confirmed and brought on board
each time, there was initially a brainstorming session
– gaining ideas (no matter how diverse) from the
members of the company present. |
From these ideas initial pre-PC scamps thought about
and produced on paper. |
The more feasible ideas were then designed into formal
concepts using an Apple Mac computer and presented to
the customer on presentation board or as images via email. |
The timescale of the total project was reviewed and
various parts of the project were planned to meet critical
path timescales. |
Artwork
The gaining of imagery from the websites and digital
stock photography was undertaken. |
High resolution image scanning took place withmuch layered
image manipulation in Photoshop. |
The elements were then laid out in Quarkxpress on the
PC and prepared in CMYK ready for print as artwork, plus
any other special colours required and any document bleed
preparation. |
Print and Finishing
The artwork was sent to the printer. A matchprint colour
proof , taken from the printers films, was sent back for
final checking. |
Any major amendments were made in the artwork and re-sent
to the printer, though minor amendments were made by the
printer |
The postcard print stock was finally confirmed, and
the project was printed, folded and finished. |
The finished job was sent out to our account managers
for distribution. |
