PVC in Fires

An information brochure for the British Plastics Federation BPF for the use of PVC materials in a fire situation.

  Design

From ideas initial pre-mac scamps thought about and produced on paper.
2 feasible ideas were then designed into a number of formal concepts using an Apple Mac computer and presented on presentation board.

Artwork

The gaining of imagery from the printed sheets given to us BPF and then reproduced in Freehand for clarity and better resolution.
High resolution image scanning took place with some image manipulation in Photoshop.
The elements were then laid out in Quarkxpress on the Mac and prepared in CMYK ready for print as artwork. The document was then checked for grammar and spelling.
The artwork in this case was 'imposed' ready for the printer to go straight to film and plate.

Print and Finishing

The artwork was sent to the printer. A cromalin colour proof, taken from the printers films, was sent back for final checking.
Any major amendments were made in the artwork and re-sent to the printer, though minor amendments were generally made by the printer.
The print stock was finally confirmed, and the project was printed, folded and finished.
The finished job was sent to the BPF for customer distribution.
