Design
From ideas initial pre-mac scamps thought about and
produced on paper. |
2 feasible ideas were then designed into a number of
formal concepts using an Apple Mac computer and presented
on presentation board. |
Artwork
The gaining of imagery from the printed sheets given
to us BPF and then reproduced in Freehand for clarity
and better resolution. |
High resolution image scanning took place with some
image manipulation in Photoshop. |
The elements were then laid out in Quarkxpress on the
Mac and prepared in CMYK ready for print as artwork. The
document was then checked for grammar and spelling. |
The artwork in this case was 'imposed' ready for the
printer to go straight to film and plate. |
Print and Finishing
The artwork was sent to the printer. A cromalin colour
proof, taken from the printers films, was sent back for
final checking. |
Any major amendments were made in the artwork and re-sent
to the printer, though minor amendments were generally
made by the printer. |
The print stock was finally confirmed, and the project
was printed, folded and finished. |
The finished job was sent to the BPF for customer distribution.
